We were built from the ground up by some of the top executives in the insurance industry who decided that it was time for a new approach to the insurance industry. They set out to not only be a competitor in the excess and surplus lines marketplace, but to become the provider of choice industry wide for solutions to risk management challenges industry wide.

USG's overwhelming success has contributed to our exponential growth over the last 14 years. Reaching into new territories and creating satellite offices nationwide, USG continues on the path of expansion to solve problems for risk management professionals worldwide.

USG Insurance Services, Inc. was incorporated in December of 2000 and activated on January 1, 2001. Gerald Horton, Chairman/CEO, is the founder and is the majority shareholder, directing the company from its corporate headquarters in Tampa, FL.

In 2012 Timothy Horton was promoted to President, based in USG’s flagship Canonsburg location.
